The difference between playing to win and playing not to lose is often the difference between success and mediocrity. Loving is the art of caring. Caring is the art of sharing. Sharing is the art of living. Living is the art of loving. Stress can become the source of strength in our lives. We can turn the unwelcome intrusions that threaten us into tremendous possibilities for our own good. The world is such that what may appear to be an end, is in reality a new beginning (of something new) ... As food sustains the body ... So beauty sustains the soul. Hitch your wagon to a star, but keep on pushing. Surviving means we have alternatives. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results. He who dares for nothing Need hope for nothing. Dreams are ideas not yet born ... They are the forerunners of reality. Faith is knowing there is an ocean because you have seen the brook. No longing remains unfulfilled ... Who knows but that which seems omitted today waits for tomorrow? I asked for all things That I might enjoy life. I was given life That I might enjoy all things. If something in your life needs to done, It will not happen unless You get it started ... or changed ... or stopped ... In the autumn I gathered all my sorrows and buried them in the garden. When April returned and spring came to wed the earth, there grew in my garden beautiful flowers unlike all other flowers. My neighbors came to behold them and they all said to me, "When autumn comes again, at seeding time, will you not give us the seeds of these flowers that we may have them in our gardens? (Kahlil Gibran) No one needs a smile so much as he who has none to give. If we want to find a miracle in our life, I suggest we start by looking for a problem. That's where God would start (Harry Wilkins, Jr.) My smile was like a snowball rolling downhill. As the snowball rolled, it gathered more snow along the way ...My smile which at first seemed so small, grew and grew because ... soon all who saw me began to smile too. A fool will curse the darkness ... A wise man will light a candle. Ambition and love are the wings to great deeds. Really, it is not our past defeats that make us desperate. It is the fear of the consequences of those defeats which we must face tomorrow, and in days to come. Stress can become a source of strength in our lives. We can turn the unwelcome intrusions that threaten us into tremendous possibilities for our good. The world will forgive you if you make mistakes, but it will never forgive you if you make no decisions. Three things that make life worthwhile ... 1) A cause to believe in. 2) A love to care for. 3) A dream to strive for Keep your face to the sunshine ... And you cannot see the shadow. There's a time to part and a time to meet. There's a time to sleep and a time to eat. There's a time to work and a time to play. There's a time to sing and a time to pray.
